PRODUCTS CHARACTERISTICS
ORG-E-VIT® TERRAVIT® and BIO BALANCE are the two basic types of granular/pelletized organic fertilizers produced by ITM TÜRHOL. Both are produced from 100% organic manure of high quality and can be caharacterized as organic fertilizers with a high content of organic matter and essential nutrients ( see complete analysis ). The advanced processing techniques and our quality control guarantee a hygienic, homogeneous product of constant composition. The high quality compostation under control inactivates all weed seeds and pathogens.
ITM TÜRHOL organic fertilizers combine all essential nutrients : N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, and trace elements, with a high organic matter content. This makes them reliable base fertilizers with a positive effect on physical, chemical, and biological soil properties, improving crop production potential.
Organic matter plays a very important role in crop production. It has a positive effect on the soil structure in terms of optimal water and air distribution. A higher water retaining capacity, better rooting, and improved resistance to soil erosion decrease yield risks. The high quality organic matter in our organic fertilizers also stimulates the biological activity in the soil. Organic compounds act as slow-release fertilizers, creating a nutrient buffer and thus reducing nutrient losses.
ORG-E-VIT TERRAVIT and BIO BALANCE have proven their effectiveness as a complate base fertilizer in various crops. In all field trials the same conclusion was reached : the combination of mineral and ITM TÜRHOL organic fertilizers results in higher yields than mineral fertilizers alone. By employing a balanced combination of mineral fertilizers and ITM TÜRHOL organic fertilizers, optimal production is assured, along with a healthy, productive soil.
PRODUCTION
Compost process :
Woldwide several methods to recycle chickendung has been developed and implemented with more or less result. It seems that the OKADA system gives the best results in the compost production process. In short, the OKADA system achieves to control the complex chemical structure of the chickendung and to transform it in a matter, which in the end can form humus-complexes.
For this special designed equipment a plant is necessary. The plant, generally, is formed by one or more units. The number of units depends on the capacity necessary to process.
Each unit is formed by 4 tunnels. Each tunnel sized 6x 1x 100 m. The tunnels are build side by side. Each unit is loceted on approx. 4000-5000 m² of land. Each unit can process up to 60 m³ of chicken dung ( waste ) per day. Each unit can be handled by one system. Of course, it is wise to allocate space for further expansions in the future.
We have a compost production plant in Karaman. Another plant projects are going on in Konya. Chicken dung can be processed by the compostization method so that environmental polluting waste is turned into an alternative product with another chemical structure. This new structure is environmetal friendly both for the soil and for health of humans.
Pelletizing :
Nevertheless, it makes no sense to have this composted matter without used by the agricultural industry without further processing. As the compost matter leaves the plants it is not economically interesting for application on large scale. Further processing like pelletizing, enriching with useful nutrients and additives is necessary. Also it is desirable to have it packed in useful quantities. After that process the product is useful on large scale as soil-improver. This product is very useful in regions where intensive agricultural has been put in practise to either improve the soil structure and its condition.
The compost matter, tough rich in organic matter, shows deficits in certain nutrients. Before application on the soil it is there fore desired to enrich the matter with additives. These additives can instantly be calculated based on soil samples of a region. In this way the product can be optimalized per region. After this enrichment process it is pelletized so that farmers can easily distribute the fertilizer on the soil in the amounts needed. By having them packed in 25 kg. bags it makes the transport and handling not only more efficient but also more ergonomic.
This needs a sophisticated production plant. Its production process can be shown as below :
